NBA DK GPP Breakdown 11/29
Just a three-gamer tonight so let’s take a look at four of my favorite GPP plays on DraftKings.
Lou Williams ($5,600)
Lou gets a really good matchup here. By now we should know that we can attack the Kings, especially with guards. The Kings play at the second-fastest pace and are bottom 10 in defensive rating. Lou has a crazy 31.5 percent usage rate on the year while playing 26 minutes a night, but we all know if Lou gets hot he will not come out of the game. The last big pace bump that LAC has had was the Hawks and Williams went for 16, 11 and seven in 30 minutes on just 4-15 shooting for 41.25 DK points.
Lance Stephenson ($3,700)
With Ball being somewhat questionable for the game, Stephenson could see a bump in minutes here. Ball went through shootaround this morning but is still listed as questionable. We could easily see Lonzo try to go and tweak his ankle early on and then not return, and that would set up so nicely for Lance. At $3,700, he is not going to really hurt you if that doesn’t happen, but on this three-game slate, I am willing to take the risk. Lance is playing in the mid-teens for minutes every night, but he is averaging 1.1 DK points per minute. If he can somehow find his way into 25-30 minutes, he can obliterate that price at what I would assume is going to very low ownership. To sweeten the deal just that much more, this is a revenge spot of some sort for Lance and he has played for IND on three separate occasions for a total of six seasons.
Corey Joseph ($4,400)
I was on him the other day over Darren Collison, and that didn’t quite work out, but I am going right back to it here — mainly because of the ownership difference that I am expecting between him and Collison. I don’t mind Collison one bit, but this is a GPP article, and I am going to side with the lower owned play, especially when they project to have similar ceilings. Obviously, no Oladipo is a big bump for Joseph, and he has been playing close to 30 minutes a game in the games that Dipo has missed. IND gets a really big pace bump here and I love playing guards against the Lakers.
Mike Scott ($3,400)
Massive swing here but let me explain. So if Gortat misses, I like the play much more and if he plays, it’s still in play but really thin. But, if he misses, the Kings play super fast and I am not sure Boban is going to be able to stay on the floor that long. The Kings run out two bigs, so Harrell is going to get massive minutes, but they are also going to need another big on the floor. They can get away with Gallo at the four, but he is not exactly a physical player. Scott has shown an upside in uptempo spots and much like Williams the last uptempo game they played his went OFF. He scored 34.75 DK points with 18 points and seven boards. That was against Atlanta who obviously plays really fast and Scott played 28 minutes. He absolutely could get you a single digit total here, but if things fall right he could also 10x his salary. Like I said right from the beginning, this is a big swing and please do not play him if you are only playing 1-4 lineups. This is certainly a one out of 20 lineups type of play.
