NBA Cash Breakdown 2/5

Eight NBA games tonight and if I am being honest this is by far my least favorite part of the year. With the trade deadline being so close, we will get the out scratches out of nowhere so just be ready. I personally think it is really hard to play on FD for that reason but even if you are on DK, they can still get scratched post tip. Basically, just tread lightly this week. Let’s get into it.

DK Core 4

Dennis Schroder ($4,800)

Steven Adams ($6,200)

Domantas Sabonis ($5,600)

Al Horford ($6,600)

For me, balanced is the way to go tonight. DENNIS SCHRODER is just too damn cheap. I am actually pretty confused by the price. He has been as high as 5K in the last three games and has scored no fewer than 32 DK points. We will take 6x in cash all day long. The Thunder just played the magic and Schroder played 28 minutes. I would imagine he ends up right around there again tonight. STEVEN ADAMS is also too damn cheap for the Thunder. At just $6,200, Adams has been one of the most consistent fantasy producers on the year. He has been below 30 DK points in just two of his last eight games and Vuc is certainly not someone to concern yourself with. DOMANTAS SABONIS is in play for me regardless of Myles Turner’s status. I would obviously bump him up even more with Turner out but I am comfortable putting him in the Core 4 without the news because the matchup is so damn good. His one game against LAL this year….46.3 DK points. AL HORFORD is going to round out our Core 4 tonight. When the Celtics play without Kyrie, Al sees a big bump just about everywhere and this is a great matchup against a bad defensive Cavs team.

FD CORE 4

Dennis Schroder ($5,300)

Hassan Whiteside ($7,200)

Domantas Sabonis ($6,300)

Aaron Gordon ($6,600)

We touched on SCHRODER and SABONIS above. I still like them on FD quite a bit. HASSAN WHITESIDE caught my eye over here. He is only $300 more on FD than DK, which we like, and he also has a nice matchup where he should see the minutes. The first time these two teams played Whiteside played 34 minutes, which is way up from his 25 minutes per game. Any time we can get more minutes out of Whiteside, we take it. He, honestly, did not even play particularly well to get those minutes either. Shooting just 2-8 and scoring only 5 points. However, he more than got there fantasy wise with 16 rebound and six blocks. We round out our Core 4 with AARON GORDON. This is the ideal matchup for Gordon. An uptempo game certainly suites his style of play and we saw him go for 39.3 FD points when these two played last week. The minutes have been there for Gordon, it is just a matter of if the peripherals will be there. In this matchup, they should be. I also love the price. He is just $400 more on FD than DK and we for sure like that.
