NBA Cash Breakdown 12/4

We have a pretty ugly five-game NBA slate with no real studs to pay up for. Basically our main focus tonight is an NBA basketball game between the Kings and Suns…I am not sure how to feel but here we are.

Core 4

Josh Jackson (DK $5,300) (FD $5,600)

I don’t think I have to dive into all the numbers here. The Suns are playing in a massive pace up spot, and they don’t have Devin Booker or T.J. Warren available for tonight. Couple that with a 30 percent usage rate from Jackson without those two on the floor, and you just play him. They couldn’t raise his price enough on this slate and he is way too cheap for his expected role tonight.

Elie Okobo (DK$4,400) (FD $4,700)

Much the same can be said about Okobo. Just take out the usage part and you pretty much have the same case I just made for Jackson. I get that he has been really bad the last two times out, but you are getting someone who is playing 30 minutes in a massive pace up spot in the mid-4K’s. Not sure how we don’t just play him. I think fading this spot would be too much recency bias and not process oriented. At this price, he is pretty similar to say a D.J. Augustin, not a whole lot of usage but going to play 27-30 minutes. We certainly target him at this price in these matchups, so I don’t see a reason to avoid this spot for Okobo.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (DK $5,800) (FD $6,600)

It is just the game environment that we want to see and I really like Bogdan here. They brought him along slowly but now his minutes are solidified in the low- to mid-30s and this is still just too cheap of a price tag. The Suns are 28th in the league in defensive rating and this should be an up and down game that should really play to Bogdanovic’s style. He has a 23 percent usage rate on the year, which is certainly good enough in this spot. Every game he has played 30 minutes this year he has hit cash value for that $5,800 price tag.

Dame Lillard (DK $9,800) (FD $9,900)

Not the best matchup but probably the favorite to score the rawest points on the five-game slate. We are going to need that guy in our cash games. He is still sporting a crazy 30 percent usage rate while playing 35.4 minutes a night at a 1.3 DK point per minute clip. The Mavs also haven’t been playing as slow this year as in years past, and they actually rank 12th in pace, so this is a bit of a pace bump for Portland here, and I am certainly not worried about anybody in that backcourt defensively. Again, favorite for most raw points, I think we just play him and figure out the rest.
